ABOUT SOSHA ART &
Artist Shivani Sutaria
After a hiatus from painting, I rediscovered my love for it during the pandemic. What began as rock painting on the weekends has evolved into a daily ritual of painting on canvases. It is my escape, channel of self-expression and source of great joy. I’m excited to share my work, hoping it brings others the same sense of joy, inspiration and connection that it brings me.
My globally inspired paintings honor the beauty and vibrancy of my ancestral country of India as well as other international locations on my travel bucket list. I also draw inspiration from other powerful forces, places and people in my life: My experiences as a second-generation immigrant in America, my feminist principles and my career as an attorney where I must be simultaneously structured and creative. The name "Sosha" comes from my greatest inspirations - my children, Sofi and Sasha.

I live in the San Francisco Bay Area with my husband, children and cat. I’m fortunate to call this place home - a region blessed with perfect weather year-round, stunning magnolia blooms every February, mesmerizing whale watching in the summer and diverse cultures and communities everywhere.
